Hi, everybody!

creepy
Back from Fresno.

I ended up not serving jury duty. They said I didn't qualify because I'm not a resident of Fresno county. I gave them my new address and they dismissed me. *shrugs*

I also never got pictures of myself on my horse in costume, and before you throw over-ripened fruit at me I have a VERY good explanation! It was over 100 degrees in Fresno over the weekend. You step outside, you fry. I was barely able to go riding in a tank top let alone in a heavy costume with a wig, hat, and cape. There was just no way I would have been able to do it without risking giving myself heat stroke. I'm going to have to at least wait until after the conventions, probably around fall when it starts to get cooler.

In GOOD news, I finally ordered my boots and the gloves should be coming any day now. Before I can finish up my own costume I'll have to get that Toph costume finished and sent.

Also, I applied to a multiverse steampunk pirates RPG called [info]theskytides as Maxim. Should be lots of fun! We need more GG characters. *cough*

No, you don't want to give yourself heatstroke trying to ride in your costume. {Smile}

I can wait, under the circumstances. {SMILE}

Sigh....I guess I can wait. I mean you've already given us so many Maxim pics! Oh, and CONGRATS ON MISSING JURY DUTY! I managed to do that once on what looked to be a really long trail and I swear I felt like I'd just won the lottery.

;_; <-- Tears of compassion. Poor Gen, has to endure the Fresno heat... *sob*

Actually, maybe those aren't tears, maybe it's the dripping sarcasm -- some of us still have to live here, y'know XD lolol We miss ya!

*eyeroll* Don't worry, I haven't turned into a frail Southern Californian yet. Whenever we reach Heat Index 1 (90 degrees) at work people are all like "Oh noes! We're all gonna melt!" and I'm like, "Please, this is an unusually warm day in winter to me."

You know, it's ME who should be crying tears of compassion for you poor suckers who have to live there while I'm down here enjoying my 80-85 degree picnic. ;)

(Seriously, I'm looking at the weather report right now and it says the highest it'll get this week is 86. Boohoo!)
