I'm going home for a couple days to attend the yearly Harvest Festival that my church puts on. My favorite band in the world, Tempest, will be there. I'm so excited!!

I won't be gone long as I have a podiatrist appointment Monday morning. Seeya'll Sunday night!

I'm going home to Fresno for a few days because I have to serve jury duty there tomorrow. I'm not sure how long I'll be gone but a friend of mine took my Tuesday shift so I know I at least won't be back until that night. Of course, depending on how my jury duty goes I could be gone all week. I'll try to go online and check on stuff at least once a day.

Also, I'll be taking my Maxim costume up with me and I'm gonna try to take pictures on my horse. I don't have the gauntlet/glove thingy or my boots yet but I was just going to wear that glove again, and I have an old pair of thigh-high red boot covers that I bought for another costume and never used. They'll probably look really cheap but I'll put them on over my riding boots so that should help to give them a boot-ish shape. And I can always go back and Photoshop the stuff that doesn't look quite right.

The wig dye I ordered finally arrived but I haven't gotten the chance to use it on my wig yet so it's still a faded bluish color. Again, I'll just Photoshop it.

Okay, gonna go eat something and finish packing, then I'm outta here! Laterz.

Actually, my best friend is. But that's where I'm headed for the weekend. I'm going to be a bridesmaid in tolerin's wedding tomorrow. YAY! I'll be back Sunday evening so don't expect to see me online until then.

ETA: I'm healing VERY well. The pain is completely gone (unless I accidently pull my shoulder too far one way or another) and I can already lift my arm all the way above my head and move my shoulder all around just like I do while puppeteering. Being able to do my first day of Playhouse next Thursday should be a piece of cake. I'll have my mom help me take the bandages off tonight and see what it looks like. Eeeewww.

Yes, that's right, I'm actually getting Christmas off this year. More by my own devices than anything else but I'm making it work. Haha. Get a little seniority and learn all the little loopholes and you can accomplish almost anything. W00t. And I think I'm getting paid for all five work days I'm missing. Yeehaw!

I'll be leaving next Friday night or possibly Saturday morning depending on how much time I have after work. I'll have to pack pretty heavily since I'll be gone for about a week and a half and I'll also be bringing gifts and my cat (and all his stuff). Maybe I'll just leave Saturday morning so I'm not driving while half asleep.

Then I'll be coming back the afternoon/evening of the 30th. OMG I feel like I'm getting Christmas vacation. It basically is Christmas vacation. So awesome.

I bought our Christmas tree today and I'll be bringing it home tomorrow evening. Yay! Oh, Christmas, how I love thee.

Also, I can't stop watching Episode 2.11 of Avatar: The Last Airbender, "The Desert". I have two words for you: Cactus. Juice. Sokka cracks me up! (high/drunk on cactus juice) "Drink cactus juice! It'll quench ya. Nothin's quenchier! IT'S THE QUENCHIEST!!" "Who lit Toph on fire?" "How did we get out here in the middle of the ocean?" "It's a giant mushroom! MAYBE IT'S FRIENDLY!!" "Friendly mushroom! Mushy giant friend!" "Momo, no!! YOU'VE KILLED US ALL!!!!"

Of course, you really can't get the full impact of the humor without the crazy sound effects and animation.

Hello, everyone. I have not dropped off the face of the planet nor have I been consumed in the Orange County fires. I'm quite well and safe. However, they're saying that the fires could very well last weeks and may travel. So the danger's not gone, but so far it hasn't threatened me.

In other news, Harvest Festival this weekend!!! I'm coming home and I'll be there, in case any of my church friends are curious.
